Golf Cart Use in the Village of Glandorf
Golf carts have become a popular way to get around locally, but it’s important to remember they are considered motor vehicles in Ohio. This means all golf carts must meet Ohio motor vehicle laws in order to be legally operated on public streets.
Currently, the Village of Glandorf has not adopted any local resolutions regarding golf cart use, so residents must strictly follow Ohio’s state requirements.
What Residents Need to Know
If you plan to drive a golf cart within the village:
✅ Your golf cart must pass an official inspection (contact the Glandorf Police Department for details).
✅ A valid driver’s license is required.
✅ You must have proper registration, license plates, and insurance.
✅ Golf carts may only be driven on streets with a speed limit of 25 mph or less.
✅ Seat belts are required for all passengers, and child restraint laws apply.
✅ No standing or overloading of carts is permitted.
Remember: Operating a golf cart without meeting Ohio’s legal requirements may result in citations, fines, or your cart being removed from the road.
